ISTE is giving away every year a number of National and Regional Awards to encourage innovation and excellence among teachers and students. The Stidemt Awards will be distributed to the winners during the ISTE Students Annual National Convention every year. In this regard, the following nominations were invited for the various ISTE Student Awards for the year 2025. The eligibility criteria, and award details alongwith forms are available in the ISTE AWARDS on the website. Therefore, all Head of the institutions/Chapter Chairmen/Faculty Advisors are requested to kindly advise the students of the ISTE Students Chapters to visit the website, read the instructions carefully and send their nomination to ISTE, New Delhi before the last date.
Last date for submission of all the nominations to ISTE Hqrs. is August 31, 2025.

NATIONAL AWARDS
1. Kerala Government Engineering Design National Award instituted by the Government of Kerala to promote and encourage creativity, innovation and design talents in engineering degree students. Any student in any branch of engineering/technology, who is on the rolls of the institution at present or who has completed the course during this year can compete for this award. ONLY ENGINEERING FIRST DEGREE STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE. Post-graduate course students are not eligible.
Note that a good final year project with some sophistication can be made use of for this competition. Students can work on a design problem either individually or in a group of not more than TWO STUDENTS. They can also work independently or with the assistance of a faculty member or an adviser. Due weightages will be given to these factors at the time of selection. In case two students work on a project and get the award, the cash prize will be shared between the two, certificates will be given to both, but the medallion will be given to the leader of the group only. The design problem chosen should be such as to require about ten weeks of good work Work should be submitted in the form of a Report, typed on A-4 size sheets, neatly bound.
2. NIT, Kozhikode National Award for the Best B.Tech. Project from Engineering Colleges instituted by National Institute of Technology, Kozhikode to promote research in the areas of : - Civil & Architecture Engineering; - Mechanical & Production Engineering, - Electrical & Electronics Engineering; - Computer & Communication Engineering
Students undergoing under-graduate programmes leading to B.E./B.Tech. degree in any Engineering College in India. The Project should have been the work of a single student or a maximum of two students working together on the same project. The Award consists of a Cash Prize of Rs.2,000/- each for the above four disciplines, a Medallion, and a Citation.
3. Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College National Award for the Best B.Tech. Project related to Sustainable Development from Engineering Colleges to promote research in sustainable development in the area of : - Civil Engineering & Architecture; - Mechanical Engineering & Production Engineering; - Electrical Engineering & Electronics; - Computers & Communication Engineering; - Information Technology & Management;- Agricultural Engineering
Final year students undergoing under-graduate programmes leading to B.E./B.Tech. degree in any Engineering College in India. The Project should have been the work of a single student or a maximum of two students working together on the same project. Interested final year students of the above mentioned disciplines may send a copy of their Final Year Project, through the Head of the Institution to ISTE Hqrs. New Delhi.
The Award consists of a Cash Prize of Rs.2,000/- each for the above four disciplines, a Medallion, and a Citation.
B. REGIONAL AWARDS
1. Devinder Singh Bansal Memorial Award for Best B.Tech. Project in Mechanical Engineering and Allied Branches a State Level Award (it includes Mechanical Engg., Production Engg., Automobile Engg., Industrial Engg., Agricultural Engg. and Farm Machinery)
Students undergoing under-graduate programmes leading to B.E./B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Allied Branches in any Engineering institution in Panjab including the Regional Engineering Colleges, State level Engineering Colleges, University Colleges and Engineering Department of Universities.
Final year students of above mentioned disciplines who are doing project work involving product development, fabrication, design, model studies, innovative developments, etc. may submit one copy of their final year Project through the Head of the institution.
2. Maharashtra State Engineering Design Award for Engineering Students (Degree Level) instituted by the Government of Maharashtra to promote and encourage creativity, innovation and design talents in engineering degree students.
Any student in any branch of engineering/technology, who is on the rolls of the institution at present or who has completed the course during this year can complete for this award. ONLY ENGINEERING FIRST DEGREE STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE. Post-graduate course students are not eligible.

Projects by the students of Engineering Colleges affiliated to Punjab Technical University in the Punjab State in the following disciplines: - Civil Engineering & Architecture - Mechanical, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Automobiles etc. - Electrical Engineering & Electronics Engineering - Computers and Communication Engineering & Information Technology - Chemical Engineering, Bio-Technology & Food Technology etc.
Final year students of above mentioned disciplines who are doing project work may submit one copy of their final year Project in the prescribed proforma through the Head of the Institution. The project should preferably be the work of a single student or maximum of two students working together on the same project. Interested students write a good report of their project work, recommended through Head of the institution and submit ONE COPY to ISTE Hqrs. New Delhi
